Hans Tung

Hans Tung is a Managing Partner at Notable Capital, where he leads the firm’s Fintech & Commerce practice and oversees investments in emerging AI applications. He partners closely with exceptional founders to scale global businesses and navigate strategic exits. His investment portfolio features several companies that have scaled to become household names, including six investments with outcomes exceeding $30 billion, including Airbnb, Coinbase, Slack, and ByteDance.

 

Hans has been named to the Forbes Midas List for 12 consecutive years, within the top ten for five years, and has been recognized among the Top 100 Asian Americans by Gold House. While at Notable, he established the FintechInnovation 50, an annual list spotlighting the most innovative private fintech companies. Originally from Taiwan and raised in Los Angeles, he began his career on Wall Street, and co-founded two Silicon Valley-affiliated startups. Most recently, after nearly a decade investing in Asia, he returned to Silicon Valley in 2013, focusing on supporting globally-minded founders.

 

Hans holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University, where he currently serves on the Asia Advisory Council for the School of Engineering. His investment portfolio includes leading companies such as Affirm, Aven, Clara, Gorgie, Ibotta, Otter.ai, Poshmark, Quince, Slope, StockX, Stori, Turtlemint, and more.
